South West Farmer Awards 2025: A Night to Celebrate Our Region’s Farming Spirit

We spent yesterday evening at the South West Farmer Awards 2025, celebrating the people, businesses and ideas that keep our region’s food and farming thriving. It was an inspiring night from start to finish, and we want to congratulate every finalist and winner—what an impressive showcase of skill, resilience and innovation across the South West.

Our nominations

This year, our team was proud to be in the mix:

  • “Family Farm of the Year” — Jason & Colin

  • “Farm Diversification” — Charley

We didn’t take home those two awards this time, but it was a privilege to stand alongside such strong finalists and learn from the successes being achieved across the sector.

A brilliant surprise for education

The standout moment for us was an unexpected one: Charley received a Special Recognition award for “Farm Educator.”

This recognition means a great deal. Education has become a core part of what we do—opening the farm to learners, building confidence and curiosity through hands-on experiences, and helping young people connect what they learn to real life on a working farm. Whether it’s alternative provision on the farm or Little Farmers, this award is a wonderful nod to that effort and to everyone who supports it.

“Farming is about more than food—it’s about skills, stewardship and community. Bringing education onto the farm helps the next generation understand all three.” — Charley

Why nights like this matter

Awards evenings bring the farming community together. They spotlight good practice, share ideas that others can adapt, and remind us all why the sector keeps moving forward despite the challenges. We’ve come home with a fresh burst of motivation and a few new ideas we’re keen to explore.

Thank you

A huge thank you to South West Farmer, the judges, sponsors and event team for a superb evening—and to our customers, friends, family and staff for backing us all year round. Your support makes everything possible.
